After the success of the first Carole Nash Classic Bike Guide Winter Classic Show we are pleased to announce the return of the event that kick starts the New Year for classic bike enthusiasts. Hundreds of beautiful classic and custom bikes to admire with a healthy mix of trade stalls, dealers and autojumble plots too ' the perfect place to grab some inspiration and a boxful of parts to get your project finished in plenty of time for summer. Brought to you by the organisers that brought you superb shows in Stafford and Bristol, The Carole Nash Classic Bike Guide Winter Classic Show is one place you'll certainly get a warm reception and enjoy a warm glow in the post-Christmas period, as it will be held almost entirely indoors at the Newark Showground.

The 33rd Carole Nash Bristol Classic Motorcycle Show

Saturday 16^th & Sunday 17^th February 2013

Bath & West Showground, Shepton Mallet, Somerset, BA4 6QN.

The Bath and West Showground provides the curtain raiser to a season of classic exhibitions. The Bristol Classic Motorcycle Show is almost as old as the International though and, despite the name, is held near Shepton Mallet rather than in the Bristol Dockland Warehouse where it originated. Naturally given the time of year most of the action happens inside and well away from any possibility of snow and wet. Attendance grows each year, with plenty of room to expand, with close on 20,000 people descending on the halls last year.

Sunday April 14th, The National Motorcycle Museum - B92 0EJ

Kick off to our organised 2013 rideouts. Leaving from the Bhurtpore Inn at 9.15am and calling in at the Premier Inn at Newport (nest to the A518) to join up with other members.

We will join the M54 near Telford then onto the M6 until we turn off for the museum. 140 mile round trip from the Bhurtpore Inn. Pocket maps will be printed off to hand out on the day.

Entry is £8.95 per adult. There is a discount for 10 or more so I need a list of definites if I am to book a party.

Sunday April 21st, Thundersprint at Anglesey Race Circuit - LL63 5TF

As discussed at our previous monthly meetings, I suggest a 76 mile ride over to the Travelodge at Bangor on late Saturday afternoon. Route to be agreed, though it’s either the A55 or via Llangollen and Corwen.

Rooms are approximately £13 per night for a twin room. In the morning we will leave at 8.30am and this will only leave us a 22 mile ride to Anglesey race circuit.

I MUST HAVE DETAILS OF ALL MEMBERS AND BIKES WHO ARE ATTENDING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

We will be joining other VJMC members from the North Wales section (expect a few CBX’s then). There is room for up to 30 bikes on the VJMC stand

As last year’s day out was so enjoyable, we are repeating this event. Includes a trip on the Llangollen steam railway to Carrog, though at the moment repairs are being carried out and the journey is restricted to Glyndyfrdwy Station. Ian Massey to update with details of costs, dates, etc.

After the steam railway ride we will hopefully go on to the motor museum if it is open.

Japfest

The VJMC are running a Classic Bike JAPFEST at the Haynes Motor Museum, Sparkford, Somerset BA22 7LH on Sunday September 15th from 10am to 5pm.

There will be club stands and private exhibits from the early examples of the 60's through to the modern classics of 15 years ago, plus trade stands and auto-jumble. Included in the admission price of a very reasonable£10.00p is entry to the Haynes Museum which houses the UK's largest exhibition of the greatest cars from around the world so it's two events for the price one.

Run by the dedicated and passionate Taunton and Bridgewater section of the Vintage Japanese Motor Cycle Club the event promises something for anyone with an interest in Japanese motorcycles. Expect to see racing and off road machinery along with the standard Japanese classics.
