RS Bike Paint Ltd and The Vintage Japanese
Motorcycle Club have teamed up to offer all VJMC members a new paint matching service:
RS Bike Paint Ltd, a family run business established for 34 years is the leading authority on motorcycle and
scooter colours with an expertise and level of knowledge that is second to none. They have a database of over
27,000 motorbike and scooter paints ranging from 1912 to the present day. Their records cover British and
foreign bikes and include ancillary colours such as engine and frame paints as well as panel and tank
All paints are available in small touch up bottles suitable for repairing stone chips and minor scuffs, aerosol
cans for larger repairs and quarter of a litre upwards for spray gun use. They also supply all the preparation
and refinishing products that are needed to complete a project including lacquers and primers. Every order is
dispatched with all the advice and technical information that is required to help you complete your project.
Their website www.rsbikepaint.com
provides further information about the products they sell and
offers helpful hints and tips as to how an “amateur” can achieve an excellent standard of repair.
As many motorcycles are not marked with colour codes, this look up facility does not rely on you providing one.
All you need to do is provide the year and model and of your bike and it will identify the colour. It can be
useful if you make a note of the other colours on your bike as well as the one you want, as that can help them
identify the colour scheme and thus the colour you need.
Additionally, if you want to look for a code they are usually found under your seat, but don't worry if you
can't find one. If you are unsure as to the originality of your bike, RS Bike Paint offers a free paint
matching service and can literally match any colour. All that is required is a paint sample; either a panel or
just a small flake of paint which can be sent to their workshops to be matched and formulated by eye. RS Bike
Paint operates a mail order service which means orders are received within a week, although callers by
appointment are equally welcome. Most European countries are covered as are The United States of America and
Canada and other countries by request. They can be contacted on 0044 (0)1707 273219 or firstname.lastname@example.org
