SUZUKI GSX-R750F
The Suzuki GSX-R750F slabside shown here is owned by Paul Goode. It was registered in April 1985 and being number 709 off the production line is a very early example, Paul bought the bike in 2008. The bike had a service, new tyres, chain etc and an mot in 1998 and after travelling a mere 142 miles was subsequently placed into storage with a mileage reading of 12225.
The previous owner had gone to America for work related reasons for what he believed would be a six month period, ten years later and still in the USA he decided to part with his pride and joy. Due to the fact the bike had stood for ten years, and the obvious amount of work required before it could hit the road, a figure of £600 was finally agreed.
Due to being
very gummed up another set of carburettors were sourced, the fuel tank was cleaned, a new battery was
fitted and after a little coaxing the bike was running again. After some preparation an mot pass was
gained and the bike is now in use agian. Paul reports the bike rides just like new and intends to show the
bike.
