Mark Hurley's 1975 Suzuki
GT380M
I noticed you don't seem to have any pictures
in the owners section for the GT380, so attached are some of my 1975 GT380M. 2 as at today, 1 from 1980 and
one from a few years back when I'd restored another GT380m (which is now sold).
I purchased my GT in 1979 when it had only
covered 1600 miles. I then proceeded to modify from standard with expansions, rearsets, proddy seat etc.
etc.. I used for less than a year then parked up for various reasons, not least a broken femur and three
speeding offences making insurance on anything over 350cc a bit nasty - hey I was 19!
By the time insurance was reasonable enough
again for anything over 350, I'd moved onto Z650's and then on and on, so the GT was left parked up at my
parent's house.
I did briefly put it back on the road mid 80's
for a while but then parked up again. Mid 90's I started to collect parts to refresh the metalwork which had
become tatty over the years. Started the final refurbishment in 2007, back on the road fully in 2009. Since
then it's been in regular use and has still has only covered a little over 13000 miles. I've a few bikes
nowadays, including 4 other 380's in various stages and believe they are a great bikes for back roads around
where I live.
Best Regards,
Mark
