Unfortunately, just 3 months later it was in this fire.

Brent's note to everyone: What a tragedy! Whilst this is only the second garage fire I've heard about in 10 years, I've had mains powered smoke alarms fitted to mine. Cheaper still are the battery powered alarms: find them on eBay.
